My name's Jakob Westman, I started customizing (without thinking of it in those terms) just last year (2001) when I got the Vinyl Hellboy statue. The statue was based on a drawing by the Japanese artist Katuya Terada and as much as I admire his art I didn't like his depiction of HB
with just one horn cut off. So... I cut off the other too and painted the stump as well as repainting the eyes wich were white instead of the trademark yellow.

I live in Sweden, was born '75 and work as a graphic designer. 2001 also saw the birth of my first Playmobil customs. They were heavily influenced by a Hellboy Playmobil Robert Martin had done. I did mine in much the same style and added a few of Hellboy's pals and enemies.

This set of ten Playmobil is now owned by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola who showed interest in getting a set after I had completed the first four figures.

These figures were all made from existing Playmobil figures. I sanded them down, added features with "Green Stuff", "White Milliput", keychains and whatnot ;) and finally repainted them with Citadel Games Workshop colors. Most figures are still articulated.
The box was bought as is (without the foampadding) and then I painted on the logo with acrylics and bought dark grey foampadding and made the cutouts by hand.
