About CustomCon

CustomCon is a fictional toy show showcasing the work of several customizers. You will not find these toys in your local toy store.

Foot Stomping Solomon Grundy - The old standard - the Incredible Hulk. A simple repaint, but I desperately wanted a villain. Of course it looks like he will be part of the next PVC set, oh well.

Human Bomb, with removable mask - Roy Lincolns heroic alter-ego was born a CORPS (GI Joe knock-off) flame thower. A little sanding, a little padding with clay, and some paint... wa laa our Freedom Fighter entry.

Vigilante - Greg Saunders entered my garage just another CORPS figure. His hat was altered and a bandana added. Several layers of paint later, the first of Seven Soldiers of Victory. I have not seen the sunglasses on him in the comics, but it makes sense to me, riding around on a motorcycle in the SW. Of course, then the question was, is that historically accurate - then I remembered MacArthur frequently depicted with sunglasses.

Vigilantes Motorcycle - This is our vehicle/playset entry for this wave. The Maitso model of an Indian bike was perfect.

Blue Beetle - Archeaologist Dan Garret was made from a CORPS frogman. Some sanding, some painting, and a plastic fin on his head. Ted Kord, you have a lot to live up to.

Finally, our mail away special offer:
Soldier of a Generic Evil Dictatorship.
A mainstay villain of Pre-Pearl Harbor comics.

And a few Ladies too...
