I have just started to customize figures this year so I'm very new at it. I enjoy checking out the other customs featured on RTM. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is only the start of The Midnight Men. I have four more in various stages. Next year, THE MIDNIGHT MEN II, Heroes at War. Please feel free to email me with your comments and criticism.

Keep on customizing,
Anthony

Custom Recipes:

LOBSTER JOHNSON: I tried to keep as true to Mignola's work as possible. He is a Dragon body with a Luftwaffe black leather jacket modified by me. Hand sewn pants, sourced jack boots, police belt with added US gun holster and silver 45.
THE SHADOW: Lucifer BBI figure repainted heavily. The outfit is from a Sideshow London After Midnight with some serious revisions. Hat is a repainted Sideshow Larry Talbot fedora. Guns are silver 45's. The belt and gloves are sourced from my miscellaneous boxes. I still have to add his ring and some red lining to his coat.

SANDMAN: I tried to keep true to the Sandman Mystery Theatre look of the character. This was my first custom so I don't remember what body I have underneath. The hat and suit is directly from the Sideshow Larry Talbot figure. It's pretty simple really. The overcoat is sourced from a WWII officer. The mask was part of a WWII set still available. I am in the midst of revising his gas gun so it is not just a flare gun as shown here. I will update the image if I get the chance.
THE BATMAN: This is the figure that looks the least like his traditional image. I tried for a Liberty Files interpretation of the Dark Knight. Those unfamiliar with the DC Tony Harris drawn comic should pick it up and give it a read. This particular Caped Crusader carries a gun and isn't afraid to use it. He is an Oscar Dragon body with various sourced military parts. The vest and holster is from the Lucifer BBI figure, the boots from a Luftwaffe figure and the cowl and cape are my own creation. The insignia is an unlicensed silver pin I picked up years ago.
