X-MEN LEGENDS GIFT PACK:
Freedom Force vs. Reavers

The wild Sentinel that came with the now defunct X-Men Classics New X-Men Wolverine was the catalyst for this set of figures, as it became the basis for Bonebreaker.  Originally just intended to be a Reavers-only entry, Freedom Force just fell into place as I looked for Reaver-fodder - they came together pretty easily.  In contrast, Bonebreaker and Skullbuster weren't completed until the deadline of Custom Con forced some action.  Thanks for looking!

Crimson Commando is a Spider-Man Classics Daredevil with Marvel Legends Comic Punisher head.  The mask, bandanna, glove cuffs, boot cuffs, and some additional hair were sculpted with Super Sculpey.  The bandanna has an armature made of a standard twist tie that also doubles as the ends of the bandanna.  The belt comes from the same Punisher.  The buckle is a thumb tack stuck into a rubber band backing.  The daggers are shortened swords from a Marvel Legends Elektra.

Some experimentation with fabric folds here.  Check out the butt.

Stonewall is a Ruthless Aggression Matt Morgan.  The ends of his shorts and his boot laces were sanded off.  The design on his chest, head, and boots were sculpted on with Super Sculpey.  It was painted on his shoulders to retain articulation.  Morgan was a typical v-shaped figure - Super Sculpey was used to give him a barrel chest.  His wrist straps and belt are rubber band with craft beads glued on for the metal studs.  A paper clip serves as a belt buckle, and a thin strip of rubber band was inserted under the rubber band belt to provide the right look for the belt end in the buckle.

As much as I like the wrist straps and belt, this is my least favorite of the group.

Super Sabre is a Marvel Legends Mr. Fantastic.  The helmet and goggles were sculpted on with Super Sculpey.  The helmet straps are cut vinyl.  The cuffs on the gloves and boots and the belt are rubber band.

Despite the base figure's close match in color, the entire figure has been repainted.

Bonebreaker is a Marvel Legends Namor torso combined with a wild Sentinel from the X-Men Classics New X-Men Wolverine and an Urban Legends Punisher head.  The hydraulics come from an Unreal Tournament Gorge. The straps are rubber band.  The torso was joined to the Sentinel with Kneadatite.  Kneadatite makes up the mohawk and a new neck.  The glasses, collar, wrist cuffs, and strap fastener were sculpted out of Super Sculpey.

Check out the tattoo!  Chicks dig cyborgs with tattoos.

Pretty Boy is an X-Men Classics New X-Men Wolverine with WWE Razor Ramon (series unknown) head and Urban Legends Punisher boots.  The vest comes from an X-Men Movie Cyclops.  Hair was added using Super Sculpey.  Filled in the belt and where the claws used to go with Kneadatite.  Wrist bands and holster made with rubber bands.

I take it back.  This is my least favorite figure.  But I think that's because Pretty Boy blows.

Skullbuster is a Marvel Legends Ghost Rider torso and arm combined with a Masters of the Universe Trapjaw arm and legs and a Marvel Legends Silver Surfer head.  The bandolier and belt buckle come from the Spider-Man Classics Black Spider-Man.  Super Sculpey was used to enlargge Surfer's head, reshape the neck, add the shoulder pads, lengthen the jacket sleeve, and smooth out the crotch.  The shoulder pad spikes were transplanted from Ghost Rider's cuff.  The bandolier and belt were augmented with rubber bands.

Face was painted to resemble a Qee I keep seeing at Tower Records.  So cute and deadly.
