Synopsis:
The Femforce are joined by a multitude of heroes and heroines, old and new, as they host a party to commemorate the official induction of four new Femforce members: Dragonfly, Stardust, Tara, and Thunderfox. She-Cat soon gets bored with the festivities and leaves. Her impulsive nature gets the better of her, and she "borrows" Stardust's ship to zip up to Latimer Labs, where she convinces Dr. Jimenez to let her use his time travel apparatus to visit the Kiowa she hooked up with during the FF's Old West adventure. Back in Apache, Texas, she finds the once-bustling town nearly deserted and the nearby Kiowa village wiped out. Seeking information in town, she comes upon a gang of gunmen squaring off against Betty Bates, the sheriff of Apache, who is holding their boss Angel Eyes Barcroft in jail on a murder charge. After a brief gunfight, She lends a slashing hand and gets Betty to safety inside the jail. Betty tells Cat how she took the sheriffs job following her husband's death and explains how Barcroft incited the Kiowa uprising that culminated in the cavalry attack that wiped out the village. In a fury, Cat rushes at the cell, intent on killing Barcroft, but just then his men set fire to the jail in an attempt to smoke everyone out. Cat grabs Belly, who is overcome by the smoke, and uses the time belt to escape to the present. A scene of carnage awaits her at Latimer Labs however, as she finds that Rip Jaw and the Black Commando have brutally wiped out the Labs personnel and the Femforce. As she fights desperately, she is shaken awake by Stardust and realizes that her whole experience was a dream that started when she was knocked out trying to take off in Stardust's ship. As the ladies leave the ship, an evil visage unseen by them appears on the monitor screens, signifying the Shroud's presence.

Notes:
Rad appears only on the front page posing in front of the invitation to the party.... The run-down state of the FF's HQ is emphasized in this story.... White Heat and Black Diamond are seen in a brief cameo, apparently tussling over who is the better spy.... After all of Tara's time with the FF, her government clearance finally comes through this story.... Stardust is registered as diplomatic personnel, while Dragonfly and Thunderfox's "protected identity" status allows them to take legal action without revealing their real names.... A number of other heroes appear, including Microman's first appearance (in a different costume than the one he is to wear later).... As befitting her status as a founding member of the Femforce, Rio Rita joins She-Cat, Nightveil, and current leader Colt onstage for the induction ceremony.... She-Cat's changed appearance requires her to prove her identity to her old acquaintances Harry Diamond and Carlos Jimenez ... She-Cat's dream of the past is all part of the Shroud's influence, although Buckaroo Betty proves to be very real, and She-Cat's experience more than just a normal dream.... Rip Jaw and the Black Commando appear only in She-Cat's dream.
