Pamster
is actually two people, Pam Coker and her husband, Foster. They
had been dating since July 1994 and got married on February
15, 2000. Foster is 36 and grew up reading comics, Pam is 46
and never really was much of a comic book fan until she and
Foster got together. Then, he started giving her classic comics
like The Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen as Christmas and birthday
gifts, and she was virtually dragged into comic fandom. They
began customizing action figures in May 1999, and since then
have produced over 200 custom figures. In June 2000, they launched
their website http://www.jacksonville.net/~pamster and have
updating steadily ever since. Foster insists Pam get most of
the credit for their work, it was her idea after all and she
handles most of the precision painting work. Foster does most
of the sculpting, and is in charge of selecting which characters
are made. Their very first custom was a Golden Age Huntress,
made from a Princess-What's-Her-Name, their second was the Sportsmaster,
the Huntress' husband, made from a Peter Parker.
