About CustomCon

CustomCon is a fictional toy show showcasing the work of several customizers. You will not find these toys in your local toy store.

It's been five long years since the last volume was published, but the folks at Bantam Books have announced a collaboration with Baen Publishing and the fledgling Pamster Toy Company to introduce a line of action figures based on characters from the popular Wild Cards mosaic novels. Set in a world like our own; save for the alien Takisian Virus which killed tens of thousands, disfigured thousands and left a precious lucky few with fantastic powers; the Wild Cards novels feature the exploits of characters created by some of the top writers in science fiction, including George R. R. Martin, Roger Zelazny, Melinda Snodgrass, Chris Claremont, John J. Miller, Stephen Leigh, Walter Jon Williams, Lewis Shiner and many, mnay more. The books were written in the "mosaic" format, allowing each author to write the chapters featuring their own charcters.

Here is a group shot of the villains in the series, (from left to right)
Edward St. John "Loophole" Latham, The Astronomer, Mackie Messer, Senator Gregg Hartmann aka Puppetman, and Ezili-je-Rouge.

The Astronomer was the main villain in several of the early novels, a psychic vampire who viewed others as mere nourishment to be drained and discarded.

This picture shows Senator Gregg Hartmann, aka the manipulative secret ace Puppetman, and his pet assassin, the former German terrorist Mackie Messer, who can walk through walls and vibrate his hands into lethal buzzsaws. These will be sold serarately.

Edward St. John Latham was an attorney who earned the nickname Loophole because of his ability to acquit his shady clients of almost any charges, no matter how solid the prosecution's cases seemed to be. He later became the head of a cult of bodyjacking teen criminals.

These are two of the Wild Card Universe's most vile villains, the corrupt attorney Edward St. John "Loophole" Latham, and Ezili-je-Rouge, the sexual dynamo used as human bait by the malignant joker Ti Malice to lure in new victims.
