The Work Force is comprised of super beings that were hired by Leland McCauley to be his personal “police” squad. In Leland’s mind he needed his own super-powered team in order to stay competitive with RJ Brande and his super powered team, The Legion of Super-Heroes. Unfortunately, The Work Force, as a whole, is not quite as altruistic an organization as The Legion. If they were, Leland might still be with us today. All that money wasted.

Radion: Too many “hot” clichés are coming to mind, must resist cheap, fan boy urge to prove my cleverness. Well thankfully, I got past that urge. Radion had powers based on radiation. Apparently he had no internal organs, just a radiation powered flesh containment suit that somehow grew “cool” hair styles. Here you see Radion with interchangeable heads and containment helmet.

Spider Girl: Sussa Paka from the planet Earth, has long, strong hair which she can use to ensnare opponents. Think Medusa from the Inhumans rip-off and you’re on the right path. Although this version seems to be a little less… noble than the Inhuman inspiration. Alright, let’s face it; Post-boot Sussa is just a long-haired, gold-diggin’, out for number one hussy. At least she has style and taste.

Blast Off: Another member of the Work Force who had little panel time in the comics is Blast Off. At least his name is known, Jahr Leroy Drake Ningle. Blast Off was killed during the battle with Mordru, but his consciousness ended up merging with another hero, Atom’X of the Uncanny Amazers, into a well known Legionnaire. Here you see the rare variant “Death Scream Blast Off” action figure. It’s the very popular, yet hard to find version that even collectors who don’t like The Work Force seek.

Evolvo: Sometimes Quality Control breaks down even at the best of toy shops. Here you see a mock up of a figure that is necessary to complete your Work Force collection, but was never mass produced. Good luck finding him. Evolvo is the “hero” that can evolve or devolve depending on the desired outcome. Here you see the “evolved” state of Evolvo when he is super smart.

Particon: Particion is another member of The Work Force that not much is known about. She has particle energy powers and the ability to see and analyze energy fields. She was last seen chasing an energy cloud on Xanthu.
